“ Really amazing meal from chef Henry! The sushi here is very clean and simple but it’s incredible. Great flavors, seasonal fish, and amazing service. Everyone is so friendly and really cares about the guest experience. I love it here - have been twice in a few months and plan to return. ”
“ Incredible value for this omakase. The fish was extremely delicious and fresh, and the service was amazing. It was a treat to watch the chef make the dishes in front of us, and he was very welcoming and provided explanations for each dish. As we were celebrating a birthday, they included a candle on the dessert. So sweet! ”
“ Attentive and kind service that made the meal a great experience. Quality ingredients comparable to the top spots in Japan. Every piece was consistently good from the first and last bite. I don’t particularly enjoy uni, eel, and fatty tuna but they have changed that for me. The dessert was cherry on top as its subtle taste hit the note with the flavor and its lightness made the stomach pleasantly full at the end. Amazing price. Definitely coming back! ”
“ It was quiet and calm restaurant! Loved all the omakase pieces. Super fresh and tasty. Will def recommend to friends and come back! (Didn’t take all the photos since I was busy eating lol) ”
“ Sekai Omakase offers an unforgettable dining experience! The chef’s selection was fresh, beautifully presented, and each course felt like a work of art. If you’re looking for high-quality sushi in an intimate setting, this place is a must-try in New York! ”
“ Experience at Sakai Omakase was beyond my expectations. I booked the reservation ahead to make sure I got seats for my anniversary. I got there on time and lucky enough to find a street parking space as you know finding a parking in Soho is not that easy. The restaurant is on basement and no sign outside, it looks like many omakase place like to do nowadays. Service was great and always pay attention to what customers need. Excellent quality of food for the price I pay. I'm glad I picked this place to celebrate the special day. Recommended. ”
“ Some of the best Omakase I’ve had. The ingredients were so delicious and you could tell they were fresh. After each bite, my friends and I would look at each other silently while chewing, just in awe over the flavors. I believe the set came with 2 appetizers, 16 courses, and a dessert, which was all-in-all very worth it and filling. It’s an intimate space that might be reservation-only, and the mood was traditional-feeling and vibrant. The staff and sushi chefs were very accommodating and great to interact with. If you let them know you don’t like wasabi or need reasonable modifications, they are very good with that. We got some Sake which were great. I would recommend asking for their recommendations. We tried a sweeter one and it went down very nicely. I also recommend offering some to the staff and sushi chefs if the vibes are right! I’ve attached just some photos of my favorites of the night, but I can say for certain that each one was delicious. We will be back! ”
“ I made a last-minute, same-day reservation here and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable, and the freshness of the fish exceeded my expectations. The presentation was vibrant, and I especially loved being able to choose from the charming selection of sake cups. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend dining here! ”
